Headed to Quarryville in the morning to see Jenny, she had a physical therapy appointment for her ankle at 11:00. While we were there it opened up and absolutely POURED, there was some hail mixed in as well. Once it let up we went to the pizza parlor for lunch, on the way back to the city it began to rain again. We got some hard stuff in town in the afternoon but by 4:00 the sun was trying to peek through the clouds. According to the radar we had the proverbial window of opportunity so at 5:00 we went to the rink and got things ready for the evening. Don and Derek were the referees, Devyn ran the clock. Just before game time at 6:15 it began to rain lightly, during the second game it picked up in intensity. We decided to postpone the last two games because the rink surface was beginning to puddle and when that happens on our dek surface that means there is a lot of water underneath. We'll be playing make-up games on Sunday the 22nd, I'll be there when I get in from Reading. The ballclub split a pair of games in Portland this week, we're at home on Friday as the Richmond Flying Squirrels visit for the first time this year. Take care, thanks for reading.
