Wednesday night at the ballpark for game #2 with Gastonia. The Stormers took an early lead in the first on a solo home run by Corey Rosier (one of the roster's new "fresh faces") but found themselves down 4-1 into the seventh inning. A wild pitch scored one run before Jalen Battles' RBI hit made a one-run game, the Ghost Peppers retaliated with single runs in the eighth and ninth to salt away a 6-3 win. Brady Tedesco started and lasted three innings for the decision. On Thursday evening it was Gastonia's turn to score first, the Stormers tied it on a Joseph Carpenter hit in the first inning and took the lead on Evan Ulrich's RBI hit in the second. It stayed that way until the Peppers tied it 2-2, Scott Kelly's RBI single in the seventh put the Stormers back ahead 3-2. It all boomeranged in the eighth, Gastonia scored four times to take a 6-3 advantage. The Stormers got one back in the eighth on a wild pitch but Gastonia returned serve in the ninth and took the game 7-4, Ronnie Voacolo took the loss in relief of Noah Bremer. Take care, thanks for reading.
