Monday night softball at Garrett Park, Kelly's and the Silver Bullets met in a straight home-and-home doubleheader. Offense was the feature on this night, the teams split the twinbill while combining for fifty-three total runs. Tuesday was a baseball night at McCaskey, the Jr. Tornado played its first home game. During the spring the school had a temporary PA setup but since the school is not involved in the summer league (and with all the power still out) I was reduced to the role of spectator. There wasn't much to see on this night as visiting Garden Spot won 15-0. It was 4-0 entering the fifth inning, GS had a man on base with two out and proceeded to put the next twelve batters on base scoring eleven runs to blow it wide open. The JrT only had two hits before the mercy rule kicked in, Wellinton Lopez started on the mound with Danny Santana in relief. The ballclub plays at home again on Thursday. Take care, thanks for reading.
