December 3

Friday afternoon: Jenny was in the city on business, afterward we headed to Reading as the Elmira Jackals were in town for the fourth of their eight visits this season. The Royals wore special jerseys featuring the Berks County Sheriffs Department logo, they were auctioned after the game for charity. The time off did wonders for the club as they scored three goals in the first period en route to a convincing 6-1 win. Eric Castonguay scored two goals, Casey Haines, Yannick Riendeau, Ben Gordon and defenseman Matt Generous added single tallies. Ben Scrivens (just back from a stint in the AHL) picked up the win in his first appearance since November 14. This was the first of six home games for the Royals in December, two each against Elmira, South Carolina and Florida. The boys will play in Trenton on Saturday the 4th before SC visits on Thursday the 9th. Take care, thanks for reading.
