December 10-11

There were snow flurries blowing around on Friday morning, the errand run was about all that happened as I spent a rare Friday evening at home. On Saturday morning it was south to Quarryville, Jenny and Helen were along for the afternoon Royals game. This was the annual Teddy Bear Toss game, the Royals rebounded from the Thursday loss to South Carolina as they downed the Stingrays in the rematch 4-3. Devin Timberlake scored the "teddy bear" goal in the first period as Andrew Sarauer, Ben Gordon and Todd Perry (the game-winner) also scored in support of winning goalie Ben Scrivens. Toys For Tots was the beneficiary of the TBT, several area United States Marines assisted in clearing the ice after the first goal was scored. With the 1:05 game time we were done by 3:20 or so, it felt strange walking out of the building after a Royals game and having it still be daylight. The sun set on the way home, by the time we hit Quarryville it was dark. The boys are back in action on Sunday the 12th as Elmira visits once again for the usual 5:05 Sunday faceoff. Take care, thanks for reading.
