Had lunch with Jenny on Thursday morning, after that I brought her into Willow Street for an appointment (her niece was going to bring her home later). From there I took my car to the service center, it is being serviced and inspected on Friday. My mother met me there, I used her car for the drive to Reading in the evening. On this night in Baseballtown the Bowie BaySox finished a three-game sweep with a 5-2 win over the R-Phils. The pattern in this game was very similar to what had happened in the first two games of the series. On Tuesday the ballclub trailed 5-0 and never got even, on Wednesday it was 3-0 before they pulled even only to lose in extras. On this night it was 5-0 before the R-Phils broke through in the eighth inning, Matt Rizzotti knocked home a run on a groundout and Chris Lubanski picked up an RBI when he was hit by the pitch with the bases loaded. J.C. Ramirez took the loss in another marathon that started at 7:05 and ended just before 10:30. We had better than 8800 in the park for Ladies Night activities and post-game fireworks but as is my norm I was out of there ASAP. The ballclub's record now stands at 59-58, just 30-31 at home. The boys will be on the road for the weekend, we're back home on Tuesday the 16th. Take care, thanks for reading.
