February 4-5
Saturday morning in Quarryville for lunch with Jenny, later in the day Jamie Burkholder joined us as we headed to Hershey for the evening's AHL game (our first game there since January 7). The Connecticut Whale was the opponent, they are based in Hartford (the insurance capital of the world). For many years the Hartford Whalers were an NHL franchise, when they relocated in 1997 the AHL franchise began as the Hartford Wolfpack. A few years ago the club decided to honor the city's old NHL legacy and changed the name accordingly. The Whale won the game 4-1, we'll be back in Hershey again on March 4. Sunday was a typically quiet day for this time of year, in the evening I watched the pro football championship game on TV (as did most of the country). The coming week will be somewhat busier with basketball on Monday and Wednesday, the Royals return home from a long road trip on Friday. Take care, thanks for reading.
